When they are ready to transfer it, they have two choices: 1. Be a Sponsor (Optional): They keep paying the recurring bill out of pocket while granting the actual software access to a new owner. 2. Full Transfer: They pass the asset on. The new owner uses the remaining prepaid time, then simply connects their own card to take over the recurring billing at that locked-in subsidized rate. You collect actual MRR the entire time the reseller hoards the asset, and you gain a net-new subscriber when they flip it.
